Whether you are looking for some time away to relax, or some fun and excitement in the mountains or downtown Chattanooga, we welcome you to our little getaway.
We want our little getaway to be enjoyed by many people. Some of the most common include the following...
Families with young children
Families with young children can enjoy the pool, hot tub, volleyball, and just the beauty and wonder of nature right here on site. If you are a little more adventuresome, your family can go hike in the mountains and see waterfalls and beautiful vistas with a few thousand foot drops. If you time it right, you will be able to go to one of the many festivals that are either right here in Chickamauga, or in neighboring small towns. And of course there is Chattanooga. Known for its very very family friendly down town complete with parks that have waterfalls and streams that the kids can jump right into on a hot day and have a great time, and so far everything that I have mentioned is FREE. When I say family friendly, I also mean pocket book friendly. Having 4 children of my own, I understand how hard it can be to afford these vacations when you have young children. Trust me, Chattanooga is a great way to enjoy time with the family and not break the bank. Our little getaway has 2 rooms and 2 baths. One can be the master bedroom with a queen sized bed, and private bath. The other is setup as a living room and drining area. The couch converts to a queen sized bed, and there is a small sleeping knook that small children find fun to sleep in with their sleeping bags. This allows a family to have any age group of kids, and still be able to bring to whole gang. It also allows mom and dad to have their own private room with bath for some time alone. Retirees
Chattanooga has been recently sited as one of the top vacation spots for retirees. Apparently the beautiful downtown area with all that it has to offer is not only family friendly, it is also retiree friendly. Once again there are many sites to see and places to relax and have fun in the Chattanooga area. If all you are looking for is a quiet and relaxing get away, you will have this with no trouble. Your country getaway offers the quiet of the country with the amenities of the private pool, hot tub, and deck with a mountain view. If you would like to do some hiking we have mountain parks that have some of the most beautiful views of waterfalls, and canyons that you will find in the entire southeastern United States within 25 minutes or less of your doorstep. Try us out for a week or a weekend. You will not be disappointed. Small Groups
Our little getaway offers room for small groups also. We have a queen bed, a queen sized hidabed, and a queen sized extra bed if necessary. So, we can handle a group of up to 6 with no trouble. It also offers seperate bathing and sleeping areas, so if it is necessary to offer to provide separation for whatever reason, it can be used like an adjoining hotel suite during the sleeping and bathing times, and be opened up to include the entire residence for other times. As mentioned in the other areas on this page there are many things for groups to do. I have also tried to include some of these activities for your convenience on other part of this website. Please feel free to brouse around and see them. Married Couples
Couple will find this getaway a great little place because of the privacy that it offers. Unlike most hotels, motels, or bed and breakfasts, you will not have any neighbors. You will be the only guests. This offers you a more private and romantic environment for your getaway. For a couple our little getaway is much like having your own little home in the country with a deck that looks out on the mountains. A pool, and hot tub. Chattanooga, the mountains, and all they have to offer you for a relaxing and romantic getaway. Take a walk along the walking bridge in downtown Chattanooga. Have dinner on the river. Take a walk along the river and downtown and see the many beautiful fountains. splash your feet in them if you like, that is what they are designed for. Visit one of the many festivals in the area. Take a ride on a horse drawn carriage. Hike down Cloudland Canyon and see one of the beautiful waterfalls (you will think you are in Hawaii). Go for a horse back ride in the Chickamauga National Battlefield or the mountains. Or, just stay and home and watch the star from your deck. The practically come right down and touch you out here in the country. You will have a great time if you just take the time to do it.
Folks traveling with their horses
We are one of the few getaways in this country where you can bring your horse! Yes, we have a 5 stall horse barn that you can keep your horse in right underneath your residence. We also have a corral that you can lung your horses in before riding them. And, of course we have the Chickamauga National Battlefield only 2 miles away with some of the best and longest horse back riding trails in the nation. We also have some mountain parks in the area where you can do some mountain riding if you and your horse are up to it. If you are into horses and would like to bring your horse and log some serious riding time, then we welcome you. If you or some of your party does not have a horse, but would still like to ride there are ranches in the area where you can go on trail rides as well. You can also enjoy all of the other amenities that I have mentioned above while your horse is resting up from the days ride.
